A trailer for the Bush Theatre’s production of The Royale.

Based on the incredible true story of Jay ‘The Sport’ Jackson, I created this trailer for the Bush Theatre’s production of The Royale. Taking cues from references such as Jean-Michel Basquiat and De La Soul, we wanted to create something that briefly reflected both the internal, and the wider societal conflicts that Jackson faced as a black pioneer – the first African American world heavyweight boxing champion.
